About English Enjoyed

At English Enjoyed, we believe English is not merely learnt—it is lived. Our approach is founded on the idea that language, like a fine library or a well-tailored suit, should be curated with care and lasting intention. Since its founding, English Enjoyed has been dedicated to teaching formal British English as an art form: beautiful, precise, and enduring. Every lesson, every word, is chosen with the same care one might reserve for an exquisite object in a collector’s cabinet.

Our work pays homage to the elegance of language: the subtle nuances of pronunciation, the wit woven into grammar, the timeless cadence of British prose. We teach English not as a utilitarian tool, but as a refined pleasure—an invitation to think, to speak, and to write with sophistication.

Values

  • Respect for Craft: We treat the English language with reverence, attending to every phrase, pronunciation, and intonation with the fastidious care of a master craftsman.
  • Timelessness Over Trend: In an age of passing fashions, we champion language that endures. Elegant, precise, and always in good taste.
  • Beauty in Learning: We believe that education should be not only rigorous but beautiful. A source of delight as well as discipline.

Mission

English Enjoyed exists to guide learners towards mastery of formal British English—with all its wit, nuance, and elegance—and to cultivate a global community who regard language not merely as communication, but as an art. Through our meticulously crafted lessons, we invite the intellectually curious into a world where culture, beauty, and precision meet.

About Thomas Finch

Thomas is passionate about languages and storytelling.

His language journey first started when he studied French at university. Next, during his Erasmus year abroad living in France, he started teaching English. Currently, he is adding Spanish to his repertoire.

He holds a Level-5 TEFL certificate and has passed the General IELTS test (twice!).

Now, drawing on his experience as an actor and writer, he uses creative storytelling to help you learn the pleasures (and pitfalls!) of British English.
